Details
Take a 2-day trip to Vancouver Island, located just across the Strait of Georgia from Vancouver. Vancouver Island is the size of the island of Taiwan, but is home to just 700,000 people. The trip will take you to Duncan (the city of First Nations totems), Chemainus, Nanaimo, and beautiful Victoria: British Columbia’s provincial capital city. Victoria is famous for its flower gardens and it holds a historic Old British charm.
Take a tour of Victoria’s historic provincial Legislature Buildings, visit the city’s many museums and the ivy-covered Empress Hotel, and take a stroll along the beautiful Inner Harbour. Aboard one of the largest and most modern ferries in the world, the trip includes two scenic 2-hour ferry rides between Vancouver and Vancouver Island. If you’re lucky, you might even spot a pod of orca whales!
Logistics
Your tour/sightseeing bus transportation, ferry transportation, and 1 night of accommodation is provided. The tour departs Vancouver in the early-morning on Day 1 and returns to Vancouver by approximately 5.00 pm on Day 2.
