Contest Rules and Regulations

Participation in WorldMUN 2012 Vancouver's The V-Project Contest (the "Contest") constitutes full and unconditional agreement and acceptance of these Contest rules and regulation, which are final on all matters relating to the Contest.

1. Contest Period. The Contest begins at 12:00 am PST on November 3, 2011 and closes at 11:59 pm PST on January 15, 2012.  
2. Eligibility. The contest is open to all individuals. No purchase is necessary.
3. How to enter.  There are two (2) ways you can enter the contest: 
1. Option 1: To enter, go to vancouver2012.org and click on The V-Project Contest entry page. Complete the entry form that requests you to submit your information, and then click on the "Upload" button to submit your photo entry.
4. Valid Entries.
1. Entry is limited to one (1) per person.
2. Entry into the contest is based on successful completion of required submission steps. 
3. Entries deemed inappropriate by the World Model United Nations 2012 Vancouver Host Committee Society will not be posted and considered for the contest. 
5. Prize.
1.  There are four (4) prizes available to be won consisting of:
1. Two (2) delegate contestants will win an all-access pass to the five nightly social events at WorldMUN 2012 Vancouver.
1. A "Delegate Contestant" is deemed as an officially registered delegate participant at World Model United Nations 2012 Vancouver, based on the official delegate participant list held by Harvard WorldMUN at 11:59 pm PST on January 15, 2012.
2. Two (2) non-delegate contestants will win a WorldMUN 2012 merchandise swag package.
1. The contents of the merchandise swag package shall be determined at a later undetermined date.
2. A "Non-Delegate Contestant" is deemed as anyone who does not qualify to be "Delegate Contestant." 
6.  Selection of Winners.  Contestants are only eligible to win one (1) prize type.
1. Four (4) winners will be selected based on accumulating the most "Likes" on their photo entry on the Facebook fan page. The accumulation of the most "Likes" will be based on the numbers accumulated by 11:59 pm PST on January 15, 2012.  
7. Notification of Winners and Prize Acceptance. 
1. Notification of Winners: 
1. Winning entrants will be contacted via the email they have provided on the website page entry form. Their name will be cross-checked with the official delegate participant list to determine which of the two prize types the winner qualifies for. 
2. Prize Acceptance:
1. All prizes are non-transferrable between other individuals and cannot be exchanged for cash value.  
2. Winning contestants must respond to the World Model United Nations 2012 Vancouver Host Committee Society's notification of winning entry no later than 11:59 pm PST on March 1, 2012.  Failure to comply will result in the forfeit of the prize.
1. "Delegate Contestants" who have already purchased a nightly social package will be given a refund. This will qualify as a free social event package. Should the "Delegate Contestant" have already purchased a ticket(s) for a single nightly social event, they will be refunded the amount purchased and will be given a free nightly social event package. "Delegate Contestant" winners who have not already purchased any social event tickets/package will be given the status as an delegate who has purchased a nightly social event package, thus giving the delegate free access to all five nightly social events at WorldMUN.
2. "Non-Delegate Contestants" must accept their prize in-person at the Delegate Services counter at WorldMUN 2012 Vancouver at the Vancouver Convention Centre on the dates of the conference (March 11 to 15, 2012). Failure to accept the prize at the location and time frame will result in the forfeit of the prize.
1. The prize will not be mailed to the winning contestant's location. 
8. Publication. 
1. For the purpose of the Contest and the winning photo selection process, all photo submissions will be publicized. 
2. The World Model United Nations 2012 Vancouver Host Committee Society reserves the right to utilize any and all photo submissions for promotional/marketing purposes and efforts related to WorldMUN 2012 Vancouver.
3. Names and photos of all winning entrants will be publicized.
