Peggy Yuan
Workshops and Seminars Coordinator
Hello, WorldMUNers,
Greetings from Vancouver!
My name is Yiqun Yuan, and am one of the two coordinators for seminars and workshops for the World Model United Nations 2012 Vancouver Conference. As you may tell from my name, I am a Chinese who is 100% made in China. I was born and raised in East China of Zhejiang Province, and came to Vancouver for university. Peggy is the name most of my non-Chinese speaker friends call me because it’s easy to remember.
I am a third year student majoring in International Relations, with a primary interest in Asia Pacific. I am particularly intrigued by the security challenges facing Asia today and curious to see how power politics will unfold in this region as Asia is rising. When I am not immersed into the International politics, you might find me walking along the beach at Vancouver since simply looking at the blue waters brings me much peace and relax. I am also a big fan of classic music and authentic food which the diversity of Vancouver permits me to enjoy with varying choices.
I am looking forward to meeting each one of you here in Vancouver this coming March!
Cheers,
Peggy
