Andres Casallas
Conference Venue Operations Coordinator
Greeting WorldMUNers!
My name is Andres Casallas and I am honoured to serve as the Conference
Venue Operations Coordinator for the 21st WorldMUN. It is also my
outmost pleasure to welcome you to one of my personal favourite cities
in the world, and by far the most beautiful one; Vancouver, Canada.
My MUN ‘career’ began in middle school and it has remained one of my
passions to this day. MUN has allowed me to attend conferences in four
continents, participating as both a delegate, Head delegate and as a
member of the dais. Having attended WorldMUN in previous years as a
delegate, I know the incredible experience that it provides for all
types of participants, and it is therefore an absolute thrill to be able
to help host a conference of this prestige and magnitude.
Beyond my activities in the world of MUN, I am currently a fourth-year
student at the University of British Columbia majoring in Economics and
Political Science. I have an immense interest on developmental economics
and studies. Some of my passions include reading historical novels,
travelling as much as possible, long hikes, scuba-diving, and
wakeboarding. Incredibly, Vancouver has made many of these activities my
passions, as the hiking and outdoor sports opportunities that Vancouver
offers are countless and almost unmatchable. It is truly an outdoor
paradise!
Again, the warmest of welcomes to beautiful Vancouver!
All the best,
Andres Casallas.
