Hello World MUNers,
First of all welcome to the beautiful city of Vancouver for the 2012 WorldMUN Conference. My name is Abhinav Singh Chauhan and I am the Venue Manager under the Events Service department for this conference. It is truly a great pleasure for me to be part of the WorldMUN 2012 Vancouver Host Committee.
I am currently in my second year at the University of British Columbia as an international student studying International Relations and Economics. I am originally an Indian citizen but I have lived in Thailand for over 10 years prior to coming to UBC. I believe that it is this global experience that has motivated me to become a part of an international gathering like World Model United Nations.
I have been extremely fortunate to have a wealth of experience when it comes to Model United Nations. I have been part of MUN since my early days in High School. I have had the pleasure of being part of at least 6 MUN Conferences including the Bangkok MUN Conference, South East Asia MUN Conference, and UBC MUN Conference.
Other than Model United Nations, I have a great interest in following Indian and World Politics. Apart from that I also enjoy being very involved on campus. Currently I am on the executive teams of plenty of clubs at UBC, which include: World University Service of Canada Club (WUSC) Economics Student Association, Liberation in North Korea (LINK), and the UBC TREK Program. When it comes to sports, then like most Indians, I love cricket!
